11 Spots – Minus 2 Shooting Drill

This is a new drill I recently put together in an effort to get players’ consistently making shots (avoiding missing 2 in a row). Players need to be able to self correct themselves, alleviating a streak of missing shots.

Player must make 10 (perfect) shots from each of the 11 spots; top of the key is last. If the player misses one shot, their score does not change. However, if two shots are missed in a row, take two points off of the score. For example, if the player is at 9 and misses two in a row, their score goes back to 7.

If you want to make the drill really difficult, you can start going into negative numbers from the beginning or if the score drops back below 1.
