This sideline out-of-bounds formation is very common in the NBA and usually results in a strong side zipper action, followed by a quick weak side pin-down for a shooter (or some combination into pick & roll).
I love this action because of the timing of the fake screen from Redick that allowed him to create space for the flip-handoff.
