As the pre-season is gearing up and teams are starting to report back and team conditioning is beginning, I am going to start posting some speed, agility, and conditioning drills. I hope you enjoy these posts and as always if you are ever looking for anything particular I would love to help you.
1. Start under the basket facing the backboard.
2. Perform 5 rim/backboard taps.
3. Turn and sprint to the FT Line, touch with your hand and sprint back to the baseline; perform 5 rim/backboard taps.
4. Turn and sprint to the 3 pt line, touch with your hand and sprint back to the baseline; perform 5 rim/backboard taps.
5. Turn and sprint to the Half-Court line, touch with your hand and sprint back to the baseline; perform 5 rim/backboard taps.
Rest and repeat a requied number of repitions you set ahead of time.
Ways to spice up this drill:
1. Use a heavy basketball.
2. Use a regular basketball.
3. Use two basketballs (just use one for the taps and have a coach/player/manager toss in second ball.
